2025’s first Third Thursday event helps community “Beat the Winter Blues”
The first Third Thursday event of 2025 in Downtown Tiffin, titled “Beat the Winter Blues,” will take place on Jan. 16. This all-day event is designed to bring brightness and warmth to the community.
The event will feature special offers, promotions and activities throughout Downtown Tiffin. From spots serving cozy hot drinks to in-store experiences and deals from local shops, restaurants and service providers, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
“Beat the Winter Blues” offers an opportunity to shake off the winter chill, reconnect with friends and family, and support the local downtown businesses. Whether indulging in a warm cup of coffee, discovering unique items at local boutiques, or savoring a meal at one of the many eateries, Downtown Tiffin promises a day filled with warmth and community spirit.
“We’re excited to kick off our 2025 Third Thursday series with such a heartwarming theme,” said Donna Gross, Downtown Tiffin Main Street Manager. “It’s a fantastic way for residents and visitors to come together, beat the winter blues, and celebrate everything our downtown has to offer.”
Tiffin Mayor Lee Wilkinson stated, “I encourage everyone to come out and Beat the Winter Blues. There’s something for everyone, and I’m proud to see our downtown come alive with energy and community spirit to kick off the year 2025.”
Each month will feature a different themed Third Thursday event, including favorites like the Artist Stroll, Barking Lot Party, Pizza Party and more. Third Thursdays bring thousands of people to Downtown Tiffin each month, creating a significant economic impact that supports local businesses. These events are essential in bringing the community together and showcasing the unique charm of Downtown Tiffin.
Third Thursdays are sponsored by Destination Seneca County, UIS Insurance and Investments, Reineke Family Dealerships, Croghan Colonial Bank and Mercy Health-Tiffin.

About Downtown Tiffin
The revitalization of downtown Tiffin began in 2011, when a group of community members came together to form “Tiffin Tomorrow” with the goal of promoting and encouraging economic development in Downtown Tiffin and creating plans, programs, and actions to ensure long-term vitality and prosperity. In 2014, the City of Tiffin contracted with SIEDC to act as the downtown organization and “Tiffin Tomorrow” came under the SIEDC (now TSEP) umbrella as the “Downtown Development Board,” which serves as the governing board of the downtown organization. In 2015, Tiffin joined Heritage Ohio’s Main Street Program. For more information, visit www.tiffinseneca.org/about.
