Commissioners to look back on successes, challenges of 2020 Thursday

[Tiffin, OH March 2, 2020] – The Seneca County Board of Commissioners is to meet at 10 a.m. Thursday for a regular board session.
The commissioners are encouraging residents to join them in the online meeting through the application Zoom. To maintain maximum accessibility, the meeting will be recorded, archived and streamed live through Zoom. Residents can join the meeting by computer or mobile device at the following link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/92595230790?pwd=c0d1cVJ0MVY4RXUwSERweXo4SnE2QT09.

The meeting also is to be streamed on Facebook on the Seneca County Commissioners page.
During new business, the commissioners are expected to present a 2020 year in review PowerPoint.
The board also is expected to continue a discussion on potential salary/wage increases for General Fund employees.
During last year’s budget cycle, the commissioners agreed to defer a decision on raises due to the uncertain economic climate brought on by COVID-19. Due to positive economic indicators, including the first two sales tax reports of 2021, the board agreed last week to consider increases to General Fund personnel lines.

During new business, the board is to consider:
* A $59,411.70 supplemental appropriation to the County Coronavirus Relief Distribution Fund for equipment.
* Authorizing amendment #2 for the Engineering Services Agreement with Stantec for taxiway repairs at the Seneca County Airport.
