Louisa K. Fast – “Tiffin’s First Lady” presented by Rodney Young
[Tiffin, OH – Oct. 13, 2021] — The next program in the Seneca County Museum’s speaker series will be held on October 28th.
Rodney Young will present a program based on his newly published research report on Louisa Fast. To the best of his knowledge, this is the most recent publication on Louisa in the last 40 years and provides some new information on her life.
The free program will be held in the Fort Ball Room at the Museum, 28 Clay Street, beginning at 7:00 p.m. After the presentation, Mr. Young will be available to sign copies of his research report on Louisa Fast which will be for sale in the Gift Shop.
Mr. Young will share several inaccuracies previously written about Louisa. A portion of his presentation will include an audio recording of an interview with Miss Fast.
Fast had an interesting life, she was an activist and participated in the Women’s Suffrage movement, traveled the world, served as a librarian, and wrote a book on early Tiffin homes.
Fast died in Tiffin on Nov. 6, 1979, at the age of 101.
