Ohio State University Extension in Seneca and Crawford Counties will host a three-part Nutrient Management Workshop to help farmers adapt to the tri-state recommendations. Participants are asked to bring a soil test or contact the OSU Extension office to have one performed. After each session, experts will be available to answer questions and look over farmers’ nutrient management strategies to help make individualized recommendations. If all three sessions are attended, Certified Crop Advisor and Fertilizer Applicator credits are available.
The first session will be October 10 from 6-8 p.m. at the Crawford County Extension office, and the topic will be Nitrogen and Sulfur Management Options to Improve Profit. On November 7 from 6-8 p.m. at the Seneca County Extension office, the topic will be Soil Management Interactions with Nutrient Management. The last session will be held on December 12 from 6-8 p.m. at the Attica Fairgrounds, and the topic will be Adapting the Tri-State P&K Recommendations to Meet Your Farm’s Goal.
