Commissioners to meet at Tiffin University, hear from sheriff and dog warden
[Tiffin, OH Oct. 20, 2019] – The Seneca County Board of Commissioners is to meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday on the campus of Tiffin University.
The off-site meeting is to occur in the Chisholm Auditorium inside Franks Hall. A map of TU buildings is available here.
Students and academic instructors are invited to join the board for the meeting to learn more about the commissioners. Presentations by Seneca County Sheriff Bill Eckelberry and Seneca County Dog Warden Kelly Marker are to occur. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask the two questions after their presentations.
The meeting is being held at TU as part of a commitment by the board to hold meetings in different locations across the county.
The commissioners are still scheduled to meet for a regular session at their office at 10 a.m. Thursday. Another off-site meeting is planned for Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. in Bloom Township. That meeting is at the Bloom Township Room, 74. S. Marion St. The board also will hold a regular session on Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. at its office.
In other business, the board is to consider:
* A $136,438.20 supplemental appropriation to the Victims of Crime Act Grant Fund.
* A $3,695.73 supplemental appropriation to the Victims of Crime Act Grant Fund for other expenses.
* A $67,522 supplemental appropriation to the Targeted Community Alternatives to Prison Grant Fund for contract services.
* A $91,776.35 fund transfer to the Victims of Crime Act Grant Fund.
