Pre-meeting release for 9/21 session

Commissioners to hear from Ohio State University Extension Educator, consider financial matters

[Tiffin, OH – Sept. 19, 2023] – The Seneca County Board of Commissioners is to meet at 10 a.m. Thursday at its office, 111 Madison St.
The session will be hosted in person, but there will still be an online viewing option available.
The meeting will be streamed on Zoom and on Facebook Live, but a different experience will be offered on each platform.
Those interested in participating in the session during the public comment portion must join via Zoom. Those who are not interested in participating will be able to view a higher-quality broadcast on Facebook Live. The Facebook feed will include graphics and multiple camera angles.

During appointments, Ohio State University Extension Educator for 4-H Youth Development Katie Cole is slated to visit the commissioners’ office to provide an update.

In new business, the board is to consider:
* A $2,000,000 supplemental appropriation to the General Fund to the Transfer Out line.
* A $12,000 supplemental appropriation to the Real Estate Assessment Fund for equipment.
* Supplemental appropriations of $9,854.07, $906,238.40, $12,516.63 and $138,948.74 to the American Rescue Plan Act Fund for equipment, salaries, Medicare and PERS, respectively.
* A $50,000 supplemental appropriation to the County Capital Projects Fund for the Southwest EMS station.
* A $98,122 supplemental appropriation to the Targeted Community Alternatives to Prison Grant Fund for contract services.
* A $156,281 supplemental appropriation to the Probation Funding Grant Fund.
* A resolution authorizing fund transfers to the County Capital Improvement Fund.
* A contract for engineering services with RCM Architects, for Seneca County EMS Station No. 2 in the southwest area of the county.
* Establishing the Four County Systems of Strength and Wellness Fund on behalf of the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Seneca Ottawa, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties.
* A change to the Maintenance Assessment Reductions for John Weaver for Weaver Ditch, effective in 2024.
* A change to the Maintenance Assessment Reductions for Caples Creek Farms for Muskellunge Ditch and Caples Ditch, effective in 2024.
