Experience the magic of the season with Santa, 80+ decorated trees, and a historic holiday setting
The Fostoria Rail Preservation Society is proud to announce the return of the beloved Santa at the Depot event for its 17th year. This cherished holiday tradition takes place at the historic Lake Erie & Western Depot, located at 128 West North St. in downtown Fostoria.
From Dec. 3 through 21, families can visit Santa and Mrs. Claus and explore a magical display featuring more than 80 beautifully decorated trees and over 20,000 twinkling lights. Santa will be available to greet visitors on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from noon to 2 p.m.
The Depot, built in 1878, transforms into a winter wonderland thanks to over 300 volunteer hours dedicated to creating a festive experience for the community. A suggested donation of $5 per family helps support this remarkable event, which has become a cornerstone of Fostoria’s holiday celebrations.
“This event truly showcases the holiday spirit and the incredible effort of our volunteers,” said Ellen Gatrell, the secretary and treasurer of the Fostoria Rail Preservation Society. “It’s an experience that brings families together and highlights the charm of our historic depot.”
