Seneca County Museum to host talk on New Riegel church history

The Seneca County Museum continues its 2024 Bicentennial Speaker Series with a focus on history around the county.  The upcoming program on Sunday, June 9, at 2 p.m. will feature New Riegel historian, Andy Schalk, sharing the 190-year history of the community’s catholic church.  Schalk will discuss how the mass went from being offered in Anton Schindler’s log cabin to the arrival of Rev. Francis de Sales Brunner, CPPS, and the building plans that ensued.

The program is free and open to the public.  Donations are always welcome.  After the presentation, the museum will be open until 4 p.m. for tours.
