Pre-meeting release for 12/16 session
[Tiffin, OH – Dec. 14, 2021] – The Seneca County Board of Commissioners is to meet at 10 a.m. Thursday at its office, 111 Madison St.
The session will be hosted in person, but there will still be an online viewing option made available to the public.
The meeting will be streamed on Zoom and on Facebook Live, but a different experience will be offered on each platform.
Those interested in participating in the session during the public comment portion must join via Zoom. Those who are not interested in participating will be able to view a higher-quality broadcast on Facebook Live. The Facebook feed will include graphics and multiple camera angles.

Viewers may switch between the two platforms at any time, and the Facebook broadcast will include a link to the Zoom session during the public comment portion of the meeting.
At about 10:30 a.m., Michelle Hess, Tri-County Assistant and Communications Coordinator of Court-Appointed Special Advocates of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties, is to speak with the commissioners about her organization.
The commissioners also are to read a proclamation in honor of a local veteran.
Alice Marie Miller, who is set to turn 101 in January, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Miller, from Green Springs, served at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Bremerton, Washington, among other naval hospitals. She also spent time aboard the naval ship, the USS Solace.
Miller served her country for more than four years. The commissioners are expected to sign and read the proclamation to honor Miller’s service.
Other agenda topics include the non-General Fund budget and continued discussion on the future of the Seneca County EMS system.
In new business, the commissioners are to consider:
A $1,321,268.19 supplemental appropriation for the CO/T WP RD Construction Grant Fund for contracts/projects (correction).
A $180,000 supplemental appropriation to the Opportunity Park Improvements Fund for capital improvements.
A $950,000 supplemental appropriation to the General Fund in the transfers out line.
A $260,767.35 appropriation adjustment to the American Rescue Plan Fund of 2021.
Authorizing fund transfers be made to the Capital Improvement Fund and to the Children Services Fund.
The addendum to the agreement for the subsidy grant for Community-Based Corrections Agreement 407 on behalf of the Common Pleas Court.
Amending the board’s orders of Sept. 23, 2021; authorizing the CEBCO renewal and plan design and establishing the county’s premium contribution and health insurance rates for 2022.
