Seneca County Commissioner Bill Frankart rings the bell for the Salvation Army

On behalf of all the Seneca County Commissioners, Commissioner Bill Frankart spent time on Dec. 15 and 16 ringing the bell at Bassett’s Market in Tiffin for the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign. The campaign collects needed funds that impact the daily lives of county residents. According to the Salvation Army website, one hour of volunteering raises enough money to feed 13 people.

The Salvation Army Tiffin Citadel offers many services to help those in need in the community, including free hot lunches, a food pantry, a free clothing boutique, a hygiene item closet and utility shutoff assistance.

The volunteer efforts of bell ringers help fund those vital services, and the Salvation Army needs more Red Kettle volunteers and donors. Frankart was grateful for the opportunity to join the many volunteers across the county who rang bells for the Salvation Army.

“We are blessed to live in such a generous community,” Frankart said.
