Seneca County Commissioner Bill Frankart was glad to be among the sponsors of the Greater Fostoria Community Foundation (GFCF) Country Jam on Feb. 23. The event raised funds for GFCF, which exists to support community needs in the areas of human services, the arts, culture, humanities, economic development, civic affairs, education, health and social services.

The Country Jam featured a “Horse Race Auction” by Mundy Family Auctions, Ltd., and live music was provided by Sugarcreek. Catering services were provided by Rock Run Catering.

“The money we raised helps support the operating mission of the Greater Fostoria Community Foundation,” said GFCF Executive Director Michele Cochran. “We’ve been in existence since 1998, and since that time, we’ve given about $3.5 million in grants to over 60 organizations.”

Commissioner Frankart was grateful to support GFCF and its impact in the community.

“There was a tremendous crowd at the event,” he said. “I really enjoyed being there and seeing a lot of folks supporting the Fostoria area.”
