Tree Lighting kicks off holiday season in Seneca County

Seneca County Commissioners Bill Frankart and Tyler Shuff were part of the packed crowd that gathered in downtown Tiffin on Dec. 6 for the Holiday Tree Lighting Experience and Kris Kringle Markt, an open-air German-themed Christmas market.
Commissioner Shuff was among the dignitaries who spoke during the event. He wants to recognize the many people who worked behind the scenes to create a memorable evening.
“What an amazing turnout for the tree lighting event today,” Commissioner Shuff said. “A huge shout out and thank you to all of our volunteers and organizations that made this possible. The citizens of Seneca County always step up.”
Commissioner Frankart was joined by his wife, Janet Frankart. Together, the Frankarts have worked hard to support the county, and they are grateful to the many people whose impact make Seneca County a great place to live. A special thank you goes to the staffs of the Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce, Destination Seneca County, Downtown Tiffin and the many organizations and individuals who helped with the event.
“I greatly appreciate all the work that went into making downtown Tiffin look outstanding to kick off the Christmas holiday season,” Commissioner Frankart said. “We are truly blessed to live in such a fantastic community.”
