GLCAP seeks input on challenges and opportunities of fair housing in Seneca County
The Seneca County Commissioners and the City of Tiffin contracted Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP) to conduct a Fair Housing Analysis of Impediments. GLCAP is currently conducting an important analysis known as the Analysis of Impediments (AI) to fair housing choice in the community. As part of this process, GLCAP is seeking the community’s valuable input.
What is the Analysis of Impediments (AI)? The AI is a comprehensive assessment of fair housing issues and related planning goals for the community. It incorporates data provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), local data, policy analysis and community input. The primary goal of the AI is to proactively address the negative legacy of housing discrimination and ensure that all residents have the freedom to choose where they live without facing barriers.
