County Commissioner Bill Frankart presents State of the County address to Fostoria Rotary Club

Seneca County Commissioner Bill Frankart presented a State of the County address as the guest speaker at the Nov. 27 Fostoria Rotary Club meeting held at Fostoria High School. Frankart talked about some of the many projects he is working on with Commissioner Tony Paradiso and Commissioner Tyler Shuff.

Current projects include support of Senate Bill 119. The bill, which is sponsored by State Senator Bill Reineke, will, if passed, authorize greater local oversight of WIN Waste Innovations’ Sunny Farm Landfill in Fostoria. Frankart also spoke about the commissioners’ decision to move the management of the grants department to Fostoria Economic Development Corporation and their decision to transfer sewer billing management to the Seneca County Auditor’s office.

Frankart gave updates on the Seneca County EMS project, including information on the construction of the first new EMS building in Bloomville. He also spoke about countywide efforts to prepare for the April 8, 2024, eclipse which is expected to attract thousands of people to the county.

Frankart is grateful for the many people who work with the commissioners’ office to continually promote and improve Seneca County.

“Our goal in the commissioner’s office is to have a lot of collaborative efforts and do the right thing and have the people in the right leadership spots,” he said.

Frankart is also thankful to for opportunity to speak before the Fostoria Rotary Club.

“I would like to thank the Fostoria Rotary Club for inviting me over to give an update on what is going on  in the county,” he said.
