Health Dept. Entrance Project enters Phase II, will impact downtown parking

[Tiffin, OH – June 21, 2022] – The second phase of the County Services Building/Health Department entrance remodel project has begun this week, leading to temporary changes to the availability of some downtown Tiffin parking lots.
This portion of the project, which primarily includes work on the Perry Street entrance, started Tuesday.
Work includes installing new signage on Perry Street and Court Street that will direct clients and persons who need to access the health department to park and enter from the back entrance. Beginning on Wednesday, the Perry Street lot adjoining the health department is to be closed.
The Perry Street lot will remain closed until the project is completed. County officials estimate work should be done by around November or December.
Another portion of the project will be the closing of the Court Street parking lot, as that area will be used to stage equipment. At some point, the Court Street lot will be opened again for employee parking.
The back parking lot behind the health department will continue to be reserved for Seneca County Health Department clients only. County officials are asking all employees to find other parking and to leave the back entrance for clients only.
There is a phone number listed in the back lot for those who need any assistance.
“Thanks in advance for your understanding, and we look forward to the completion of the new entrance and the upgraded lots,” said County Buildings and Grounds Maintenance Supervisor John Logsdon.
