JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality maintenance and repair services for our facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of secondary education, certifiable training (through an apprentice program or trade school) or 5 years validated experience in HVAC with basic knowledge and experience in the remaining skilled trade areas.

LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRMENTS

Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, Certified or working to obtain certification as a State Refrigerant Recover Agent; Certified or working to obtain certification as an HVAC Technician.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

Inspects HVAC and electrical systems to ascertain causes of malfunction, determines defects and makes repairs as necessary; installs or assists in the installation of new systems as required; reads and interprets blueprints, schematics and drawings or makes drawings as required; ensures that installations and repairs are in compliance with various city, county and state codes; set, adjust and calibrate controls on HVAC and electrical systems; performs preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment; maintenance, repair and service of boilers/heating units; performs tests to set base line data on motors, fans, electrical controls and air conditioning units, maintenance and repair of voice communications, security and fire alarm systems; ability to follow OSHA regulations and internal safety procedures.

Performs carpentry, plumbing, electrical repair, masonry, painting, plastering and other building maintenance tasks; maintains and repairs door locks and hardware, maintains and repairs housekeeping equipment, and repairs and refinishes furniture; hangs drywall and paneling; performs minor welding; transports equipment and supplies to work sites; secures buildings; cleans and maintains general orderliness of utility areas.

Operates vehicle and motorized equipment utilized in maintenance of facilities and grounds (e.g. trucks, tractors, snowplows, lawn mowers, etc.) Performs automotive maintenance and minor repair functions, services automotive equipment with gasoline and oil; check and fills other fluid levels; performs preventative maintenance inspections and related servicing of light power equipment; performs grounds maintenance including landscaping and mowing. Picks up materials and supplies; performs minor routine maintenance and repair functions; maintains buildings and grounds; delivers stock to various locations within the county; moves and rearranges furniture; cleans and maintains general orderliness of utility areas.

Carry a cell phone and required to be “on call” as assigned.

Other duties as assigned. Reports to Maintenance Supervisor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
