Commissioners to open bids for two projects, hear update from FEDC president

[Tiffin, OH – May 24th, 2022] – The Seneca County Board of Commissioners is to meet at 10 a.m. Thursday at its office, 111 Madison St.
The session will be hosted in person, but there will still be an online viewing option available.
The meeting will be streamed on Zoom and on Facebook Live, but a different experience will be offered on each platform.
Those interested in participating in the session during the public comment portion must join via Zoom. Those who are not interested in participating will be able to view a higher-quality broadcast on Facebook Live. The Facebook feed will include graphics and multiple camera angles.

Viewers may switch between the two platforms at any time, and the Facebook broadcast will include a link to the Zoom session during the public comment portion of the meeting.
At 10 a.m., a bid opening is scheduled for the New Riegel Sidewalk Replacement Project.
Near the beginning of the session, Fostoria Economic Development Corp. President Renee Smith is scheduled to provide an update to the board on the latest happenings from FEDC.
At 10:15 a.m., another bid opening is scheduled for the Fostoria ADA-compliant Sidewalk Ramp Project.
At about 10:30 a.m. the commissioners are slated to enter into an executive session.

In new business, the board is to consider:
• A $5,731.60 supplemental appropriation to the Unclaimed money Trust Fund.
• A $4,624.37 supplemental appropriation to the OCJS Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Program Supplies and Equipment Fund for other expense.
• A $16,221.83 supplemental appropriation to the Community Development Block Grant Program Year 2019 Allocation Grant in the Transfers Out line.
• General Fund supplemental appropriations in the amounts of $15,000, $7,434, $4,000, $15,000 and $16,000 for supplies, salaries, equipment, contract services and leases, respectively.
