Commissioners to hear about United Way initiative, open bids for road project

[Tiffin, OH – June 13, 2023] – The Seneca County Board of Commissioners is to meet at 10 a.m. Thursday at its office, 111 Madison St.
The session will be hosted in person, but there will still be an online viewing option available.
The meeting will be streamed on Zoom and on Facebook Live, but a different experience will be offered on each platform.
Those interested in participating in the session during the public comment portion must join via Zoom. Those who are not interested in participating will be able to view a higher-quality broadcast on Facebook Live. The Facebook feed will include graphics and multiple camera angles.

Viewers may switch between the two platforms at any time, and the Facebook broadcast will include a link to the Zoom session during the public comment portion of the meeting.
At about 10:05 a.m., a proclamation is to present to recognize Responsible Fatherhood Month, following a request from the Seneca County Department of Job and Family Services office.
Later in the meeting, Tiffin-Seneca United Way Interim Director Chris Lewis is expected to meet with the commissioners to discuss a request for a letter from the board supporting the United Way’s application for a 211 designation. If the program moves forward, it will provide an easy-to-remember phone number for locals to call that would provide vital information and referrals 24/7/365.
At 10:30 a.m. the board is scheduled to open bids for the CR 23/46 project.

During new business, the board is to consider:
* A $10,081.27 supplemental appropriation to the General Fund for employee salaries.
* A $146.18 supplemental appropriation to the General Fund for Medicare.
* A $10,000 supplemental appropriation to the LGRAF.
* A $15,000 supplemental appropriation to the General Fund for Court Professionals/Experts.
* A $373.53 supplemental appropriation to the Sheriff Commissary Fund for services.
* An $11,370.13 supplemental appropriation to the JRIG Grant Fund for contract services.
* A resolution to sign the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction Community Corrections Grant Agreement for Targeted Community Alternatives to Prison.
* Fund transfers for the Local Government Fund Alternate Formula to the Ambulance Services Fund and to the EMA Fund.
* Approving the SFY 24 subgrant agreement between the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, Ohio Department of Medicaid and the Commissioners for the purpose of establishing terms, conditions and requirements governing the administration and use of the financial assistance received by or used by SCDJFS/CSEA/PCSA, effective July 1, 2023.
