At about 10 a.m. representatives from the Richland County Building Department are to address the commissioners and give them an update.
Richland County Building Department handles the commercial permitting in Seneca County.
In September of 2020, Building Department Director Kara Russell visited the commissioners’ meeting to discuss the commercial permitting process.
The discussion was brought about after the commissioners had received some feedback from builders and contractors in the county that the department sometimes had lengthy delays during the permitting process.
Thursday’s discussion is expected to be an update on the talks held in 2020.
In other action, the commissioners are expected to continue discussions concerning a potential resolution that would publicly oppose the proposed expansion at Sunny Farms Landfill.
During last night’s session, county staff introduced draft language for a resolution.
A public hearing regarding the proposed expansion is scheduled for June 8th at 6 p.m. at Camden Falls in Tiffin.
In new business, the board is to consider:
* A $20,000 supplemental appropriation to the FY20 Comprehensive Opioid Stimulant and Substance Abuse Program (COSSAP) for Workers Compensation, PERS, Medicare, Contract Services and Salaries.
* Extending a subgrant agreement with Great Ohio Workforce Board, Inc., on behalf of the Seneca County Department of Job and Family Services.
* Authorizing 2022-2023 Technical/Specialized Consulting Agreement with Local Government Services LLC on behalf of the Seneca County Auditor, retroactive to June 3, 2022.
